What is Cheek Enhancement?
High prominent cheekbones and a well-defined jawline are coveted facial features and are seen as characteristics of beauty. With ageing, the cheeks naturally become flatter as a consequence of volume loss and reduction of fat. There are several ways to restore the volume of the cheeks including surgical and non-surgical treatments. The purpose of cheek augmentation is to increase the volume or lift of the cheeks to improve the contours of the face. The use of implants to the cheeks gives an enhanced cheekbone appearance. Alternatively, fat grafting/transfer (using a patient’s own fat) is a viable surgical technique for augmenting and improving the cheeks and creating a more youthful appearance.
